A TAG Heuer VELA Cup with 20 knots of air. Sicily thus welcomed the 30 or so boats that took part in the Capo D’Orlando Marina leg, the penultimate of this season, where the wind was the great protagonist making all the crews present have fun.
Big wind and big party in Capo d’Orlando
The TAG Heuer VELA Cup returns for the second year in a row to Capo d’Orlando Marina, and once again the conditions proved spectacular. The crews at sea battled it out, but the winner was the Grand Soleil 34 of Peppe Fornich and Achille Salvadore, Multinautic 2.0, “locals” of the sailing event and experienced sailors. Second is Luigi Gaddi’s More 55, a two-time overall winner of the VELA Cup circuit. The regatta’s “go-to” winner of a TAG Heuer Aquaracer watch was Giovanni Verso, owner of the Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 439, And then. The winner of the Last Real-Time Award was Paolo Mongiovi with his Trident 80, The Fleeting Moment, who also won the Garmin Inreach Mini.
