A reader amusedly reports to us the brochure he received from his bank. “Perhaps it is an innovative maneuver that I am not familiar with,” he wrote to us. “She’s caulking the sheet backwards and looking at…what sail? Now I understand what COUNTROFICO is…Maybe I’d better change the bank.”

Welcome using the sailboat to convey your advertising message, but you have to do it well, perhaps consulting someone who has at least taken … a summer sailing course! Moreover, one does not expect this “gaffe” from Deutsche Bank, which is famous for its sponsorships in sailing, such as those on the Farr 40, and which has already exploited (much better) sailing in a nice video of Illbruck Challenge (the winning boat of the 2001/02 Volvo Ocean Race).
