For those who love cruising but do not want to give up the pleasure of competing in a few regattas during the year, the market for used boats in the 33- to 36-foot segment offers some interesting solutions. Taking into consideration boats over 5 years old, valuations hardly exceed 100,00 euros, and going even further back in time, prices drop dramatically. Browsing on
Top Boat Market

we have selected four models, on different price and age ranges, to keep an eye on if we are looking for a sport cruising boat, used boats that are still quite in demand today for their versatility.

Polaris 33

We start with the oldest and most “pulled” of our selection of used boats on the cruiser-racer target. The signature of this design is Kiwi Ron Holland, a true “star” of theIOR era who also collaborated with Swan. The aesthetics of the Polaris 33 are unmistakable, as it is immediately recognizable because it has a steeply raked transom that resembles the hood of the Volkswagen Beetle. In its early days it won a lot on the race courses, today it is still a fast boat if well equipped and, with a bit of updating on the interior, it can also be suitable for sports cruisers to experience “full sail.” CHECK OUT THE POLARIS 33 QUOTES HERE

Elan 333

A blockbuster for this 10-meter, Rob Humphreys design in production from 2000 to 2004, made in more than 700 examples. A modern hull with a large waterline length that helps increase cruising speed. The aesthetics are pleasing, modern and classic at the same time, and the interior has up to seven beds. It is a marine boat but fast even in light winds; not infrequently it is still seen successfully participating in club regattas. A perfect compromise between comfortable cruising and fun sailing. Dufour 34

Elegant, very fast, still current design. The Felci studio designed a boat at the beginning of the new millennium that is destined to remain relevant over time. It was offered with a choice of two or three cabins and with different deck layouts depending on the version. The Evolution is the sportier one, with slightly increased sail plan and deck plan designed for sporty use. Even today it is still competitive in regattas, but more importantly it has interior volumes perfect for real cruising use, thanks to a pronounced deckhouse and good height above the water. First 36.7

It is the largest boat in this selection and the one with the highest valuation on the used market. A boat that makes versatility its real weapon: good interior volumes, spacious cockpit and great sailing skills are its strong points. A small “bomb” with excellent sailing performance, victorious in important regattas. The Beneteau First 36.7 is an 11-meter that remained in production from 2002 to 2008 made in more than 300 examples, quite a success for a “cruise-regatta,” credit also goes to the good interior space with three cabins that make it good for cruising.
