FIVE USED BOATS BETWEEN 12 AND 15 METERS
PURE COMFORT, PRICE NEGOTIABLE
The first of the used boats we offer, visited on our marketplace, is a Bavaria 390 Caribic version (12.15 x 3.90 m) from 1991. The model, designed by Axel Mohnhaupt in 1990, has four cabins: two doubles in the stern, one double in the bow, and one on the port side with two bunk berths. Two bathrooms.
The Bavaria 390 features considerable waterline length, so that it develops high speed, large volumes (for a boat of the early 1990s) and realizes comfortable interiors. The deck has a large and comfortable cockpit, and the deckhouse is sleek, of the retractable type. The construction is robust with Kevlar stiffeners in the areas of greatest stress. Sailing performance is fair (displacement of 8 tons per sail area of 69 sq. m.).
The model for sale is in perfect condition. Replaced: fixtures, fixed rigging, sd engine, stainless tank, diesel filter, sails, furling, gas stove, dinette covers, anchor windlass, autopilot, compass, navigation lights, electric toilets, water pumps, plotter, gps, echo, teak deck, Epirb… The price, which is attractive, is negotiable.

CRUISING, YES, BUT NOT “NAILED DOWN”!
The second of the used boats we offer is an all-Italian model, theIsola 40 from Cantiere Politi, capable of good sailing performance, sporty in appearance. Easy-to-use 9/10 sail rigging without flying shrouds, equipped with generous surface area to juggle even in light winds. The appearance is weighed down by a large, square deckhouse, which well shelters the substantial cockpit. The stern is open and the standard rudder is tiller, but the version for sale has a wheel. Inside, three double cabins, two toilet rooms, central dinette, galley and chart table.
Production of the Isola 40 began in 2001, but the model for sale is from 2009: 12 meters long overall (3.82 m maximum beam), weighs 6 tons with a sail area of 86.5 square meters. Visible in Palermo, it is in excellent condition, with about 1000 engine hours and only owner. the Politi Shipyard managed to make a cruising boat with good sailing performance: if you also do regattas some satisfaction you might get…

SPARKMAN & STEPHENS, A GUARANTEE
The review of used boats continues with an “old-fashioned” model, great for cruising and racing. This Freya 45, designed by Studio Sparkmann & Stephens in 1972, began as an evolution of the first series of Freyas, and was built by the Benello Shipyard in Livorno in 1973 in airex sandwich, under the direct supervision of designer Olin Stephens. In the year 1991 it underwent a first restoration, and a second one took place in the year 2004, at the Tomei Shipyard in Viareggio.
Nana (that’s the name of the boat), specifically, has always had an exciting competitive activity. A true connoisseur’s boat, 13.31 m long and 3.56 m wide (for a draft of 2.11 m). The model is equipped with 2014 VETUS 42 hp engine, teak interior, cruising and racing sails, Reckmann furling, AUTOHELM 7000 autopilot, Raymarine wind, Frigoboat, new upholstery, current rigging for cruising and racing. The price is really mouthwatering…

A CLASSIC SIGNED JEZEQUEL
The fourth of the used boats for sale that we offer is a great classic of 80s and 90s cruising, about which we do not have much to say because it speaks for itself. We are talking about the Grand Soleil 46, a 1984 design by Alain Jezequel (who also signed the highly successful 39 and 343).
This is how publicist-sailor Lele Panzeri talked about it: “With a deck plan and a very generous equipment, it remains a bit sleepy in light winds (they are all good at being phenomenal in 15 knots of air) but then, as soon as it cools down, with any wind and any gait, it exalts and unleashes all its power.”
Some consider the collaboration between the French designer and the Italian shipyard to be the one that gave birth to Cantiere Del Pardo’s most beautiful models. 13.99 m long with a maximum beam of 4.20 (13 tons displacement for a sail area of 120.96 sq. m.), the model for sale is from 1987.

READY TO TAKE YOU ON A CRUISE
The last of the boats used in today’s review is a Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 49 DS (DS stands for “Deck Saloon”) visible in La Spezia. The boat, a 2004 Garonni/Briand design (the model for sale is from 2005), is 14.98 meters long by 4.99 in beam. Born on the wave of the success of the 54′ the French shipyard had expanded the DS range with this 49. Large fenestration gives the comfortable elevated living room excellent brightness. Super spacious interiors, as befits a pure cruising boat: in this case the layout includes three inside cabins and two bathrooms.
Completing the boat’s equipment are the Yanmar 75 Hp engine, Furling mainsail, Furling genoa, Foresail furler, Bow thruster, Heating, Air conditioner, Full electronics, Generator, Bimini, Sprayhood, Gangway and more.
