FIVE USED BOATS BETWEEN 11 AND 12 METERS
CRUISING, BUT NOT “NAILED DOWN”
The first of the used boats we propose is really throaty. A Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 36i (10.94 x 3.59 m). The boat that represented the “sporty” turning point for the French shipyard, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2007. A cruising hull but still capable of satisfying even the most pretentious sailors with a very vertical foredeck and wide stern. Well-maintained exteriors with teak cladding, including for the stern sea drop.
The interiors are the result of the shipyard’s new course, with higher quality materials and a layout that emphasizes circulation and square footage. The model we offer, visible in Sant’Agnello (Naples), was registered in 2010 and is a three-cabin, one-bathroom version. Single owner, never chartered, never crashed, exclusive family use, 1600 engine hours.

FOR THOSE WHO LIKE TO NAVIGATE COMFORTABLY AND SAFELY
We are sure that the second of the used boats for sale on our marketplace will also appeal to many. We are talking about a 1984 Hallberg-Rassy 38 (length 11.75 m, max. beam 3.48 m), designed by Olle Enderlein in 1977 (and remained in production until 1986). The boat, with the central, well-protected cockpit that is its trademark, is perfect for those who want to sail for a long time even in less hospitable waters than the Mediterranean. The model for sale is from 1984. Osmosis treatment to the hull and overhaul were done in 2020: it is sold fully equipped, with tender and 7 sails.

WE STAY IN SWEDEN
Let’s stay in the Hallberg-Rassy house for the third model we propose. A 1989 HR 382 visible in Lavagna (Genoa): 11.73 meters long, it too is perfect for long sailing. These are just some of the equipment included in the price: “Volvo 59 HP – bow thruster – mainsail – genoa – jib – storm jib – spinnaker – Autohelm – B&G Hydra 330 – radar – VHF – two GPS – plotter – CD – color TV – boiler – Fridge – 200 w solar panels – windlass – stern platform – bimini – sprayhood – Zodiac 240 – Mercury 3.3 HP – fb davit – Arimar self-inflating – Dahon bike – RINA until 5/2024 – 50-mile safety equipment.”

DESIGN BY JEPPESEN, OPTIMIZATION BY VISMARA
Speaking of Nordic boats (but with a decidedly different philosophy than the two used boats we just showed you), our fourth proposal is an X 372 Sport (11.28 x 3.58 m) from 1986 visible in Genoa. A great “racing” classic designed by Niels Jeppesen churned out by the Danish shipyard X-Yachts.
Be careful, however: this is a special boat, ideal for those who want to have fun and try to win at regattas. The appendages and fairing were optimized by Studio Vismara, and the mast is made of carbon. Other details: modular cruise race forward cabin, updated electronics, engine overhauled, 2018 sea intakes, many sails and spares.

THE ARCHETYPAL CRUISER/RACER
We close our review of used boats with a beautiful Van de Stadt design built by the Dehler shipyard in 1990. This is a Dehler 36DB (11.01 x 3.50 m) visible in Marina di Ravenna, with undoubted construction qualities. This is one of the earliest models that embodied the cruiser/racer philosophy, with an essential, comfortable, and well-functioning set-up, with the special feature of tiller steering.
With three cabins and eight beds. Some of the equipment: Yanmar 3YM30 engine, 29hp (2005), Bruntons Autoprop 2017 folding propeller, radar, navtex, geonav 5 touring, Raymarine SPX-5 GP autopilot, Raymarine instrumentation, jib roller, bowsprit, code 0, sail drop system…
