FIVE USED BOATS FROM 3 TO 15 METERS
TIMELESS!
The first of the used boats we offer is a legendary 12-foot Dinghy (3.6 x 1.4 m): one of the longest-lived successful boats. Consider that it was born in 1913 from the design of Englishman George Cockshott. Cockshott was a lawyer with a passion for design, a passion that led him to enter and win the competition held by the Boat Racing Association, which aimed to create a small dinghy that could spread the practice of sailing as a sport because it was more affordable than the large racing boats popular at the time.
Since then, the history of the Dinghy has been one of success and passion, inaugurated by participation in the Olympics as early as 1920 in Belgium and then in 1928 in Holland, following which the first Dinghy 12′ yard was created in Italy.
This dinghy, which has evolved over the years from classic wooden construction to more elaborate materials as well, allows a sailing practice with zero environmental impact, which, combined with affordability and ease of maintenance, can respond to the search for purity and direct contact with the sea, thus becoming a symbol of a clean and essential lifestyle. It still has thousands of fans around the world, and in Italy the regattas and rallies are super crowded!
The model we offer is made of fiberglass with mahogany benches, made in 1995 by the famous Lillia shipyard in Calozzo (Como), and can be seen in Ravenna. In good condition, it comes with hauling trolley and cover sheet. What an opportunity to always have a boat ready to go out in a jiffy!

A MONOTYPE READY TO ENTERTAIN YOU
The second of the boats used in the review was created for pure racing, but can be a super fun boat for outings with friends as well. We are talking about a Melges 20: 6.09 meters long by 2.13 in beam, this one-design, designed by Reichel Pugh in 2007 and made by the Americans of Melges Performance Sailboats, has been a protagonist of international race courses for years.
The model in question is from 2008: it is the Melges for sale “Raffica” ITA 136, super accessorized, 3-game quantum sails, bulb alignment, rudder. New mast, new shrouds and always kept indoors. The vessel can be seen in Naples. The price is good and this boat is an ideal choice for those who want to approach the world of sport sailing!

FOR THOSE WHO LIKE TO SAIL A LOT AND “FRENCH STYLE”
We continue with the third of the used boats “out of the choir” under the lens: a boat for those who love to sail, and a lot. A Pogo 10.50 (10.50 x 3.90 m): successor to the Pogo 40, in 2008 constituted but the extension of a successful range that saw its debut with a standard Class 40, also usable for cruising. So Structures commissioned the Finot-Conq firm to design this ten-and-a-half-footer capable of excellent performance.
The open, wide stern and subtle entry lines, with the bow dropping vertically over the water denote the sporty character of this ten-footer that echoes the concepts of its larger 40-foot sister. Patrick Roseo’s deck design is that of a boat that can be steered even with a small crew.
The version we offer is with a lifting keel, is from 2021, and can be seen in Cecina. Ready to sail, it is equipped with performance sails and NKE electronics. This Pogo 10.50 is the perfect companion for anyone who wants to get some satisfaction out on the high seas!

THE BOAT THAT WANTED THE KING OF SPAIN
We go up in square footage with the fourth of the boats used in the review. There have always been special boats, but the Cheyenne, a Rodman 42 (11.98 x 3.50 m, draft 2.50 m), is more special than the others. And it is for sale, having been completely refitted in the past two years. A boat with a double soul, sporty capable of winning races and at the same time perfect for pleasant cruising.
Why is it more special than many boats? Listen to the story and you will realize that we are not telling tall tales. In 2002, the then King of Spain, Juan Carlos of Bourbon, gathered his team and ruled, “I want a boat to win in IMS races while having fun with my friends. It has to be built in Spain.” A king’s word is an order, so Pedro Campos, a famous sailor with countless America’s Cup appearances and the ruler’s right-hand man, set to work. Satisfying Juan Carlos was not easy, the King is a great sailor, famous are his Bribons that have always raced in the Mediterranean, he personally participated in the Olympics on the Dragoons in 1972 and in 2017, at 79 years old, he won the world 6-meter SI championship.
Pedro Campos did not disappoint him. He chose the strongest designers of the moment, the Germans Judel&Vrolijk, and ordered Spain’s leading shipyard, Rodman, to build seven boats, all the same, as the King wanted. Rodman, who had never built a sailboat, tried his best. Thanks to the experience of Campos and the Germans, a state-of-the-art boat was born. One of the secrets of the hull’s lightness and rigidity is a steel cage that joins all the points of greatest stress (luff attachment, bulb attachment), so that the thickness and weight of the fiberglass hull (baked) with carbon reinforcements, the same material as the mast, can be reduced. The result is a very stiff and strong boat, but lighter (displacement only 6,500 kg).
We are not going to list all the victories achieved by these boats, we will just tell you about the latest results: in 2017, two Rodman 42s won the King’s Cup in Palma de Mallorca. But Cheyenne, the boat for sale now, is no different. He finished second overall, also in 2017, at the Palermo Monte Carlo, and in 2018 he finished second in class at the 151 Miglia.
Cheyenne is from 2003 and can be seen in Chiavari. Refitted from 2017 to present and always maintained and improved over time…

TO SAIL AROUND THE WORLD
After so many used racing boats, we close the review with a model that is all about comfort and safety, a boat for true connoisseurs. We are talking about a Hallberg-Rassy 49 Ketch (14.96 m x 4.42 m).
Classic hull, long and narrow, designed this time for the Swedish company by Olle Enderlein (in collaboration with Christoph Rassy) who opted for a high freeboard (heavy displacement, 18 tons), nearly flush deck with deckpilot gathered in a truncated pyramid shape. The capacity of the water (1400 liters) and fuel oil (765 liters) tanks is remarkable for a long sailing range, under the buoyancy of a sail plan that is beginning to be challenging (112 sq. m.). The stern is truncated, and numerous portholes in the side and skylights on the deck provide excellent lighting and ventilation of the rooms.
The boat began production with a ketch rig in 1987, followed by the sloop model: it went out of production in 1992 after 89 launched. The model for sale dates back to the early days (in fact, it is from 1987) and can be seen in Croatia. The new engine, a Volvo Penta 140 horsepower, was installed in 2017.The boat has three cabins, two bathrooms, tiller angle, radar, teak side walkways and cockpit, bow thruster, webasto heating, spiroidal rigging…
