FIVE USED BOATS FROM 1,500 TO 18,000 EUROS
A JEWEL SIGNED HARLE’
The first of the used boats we offer is for sale for only 1,500 euros: it is a splendid Sheriff (6.22 x 2.36 m) from the French shipyard Arcoa-Jouet by designer Philippe Harlé, famous for his Muscadet and Jeanneau Sangria. The model (in production from 1969 to 1977, with a total of 1,300 units launched) we offer is from 1975, can be seen in Chioggia (Ve) equipped with all amenities.
Complete with recent blue cushions, pull-out table, sink and space for stove, anchor with catenary, 8-horsepower Johnson engine. A beautiful, sail-ready gem, an ideal investment for those just getting into cruising.

WHAT A GLIDE WITH THIS ONE!
We continue our review of used boats with a decidedly sporty model for sale for 9,800 euros. We are talking about a Ufo 28, 8.6 meters long and 3.6 meters wide, designed by Umberto Felci, son of the golden era of the “free class.” If you want to have fun sailing, know that its performance is amazing: upwind it flies at a speed of over 6 knots and on the slack it glides like a drift!
Specifically, the model for sale is from 1999 and can be seen in Rimini. This is the 48th Ufo 28 made, with hinged fold-down wings. Weapon of Ufo Class 28 tonnage and equipped with gennaker kit with carbon bowsprit, masthead diamond and backstay. The sails are in excellent condition.

IS A HERRESHOFF, THAT’S ALL IT TAKES.
We go up slightly in price. For 12,000 euros you become the owner of a virtually unique piece. At 6.70 m in length, TheHerreshoff Eagle is an American catboat built by Nowak & Williams in 1974, fiberglass hull and deck, movable daggerboard, tiller rudder, auric rig, sloop-rigged with bowsprit and bowtie. It is equipped to easily hoist the counter-mast. It was designed by Halsey Herreshoff, the last descendant of the historic family of builders of splendid boats that have made nautical history.
The Herreshoff Eagle has the lines of the fast catboats built in the 1800s by the Herreshoff shipyard in Bristol, Rhode Island, USA. Diva, this is its name, is most likely, the only example of this model ever to arrive in Europe. The boat, fast, safe and maneuverable, with Zadro vertical-hoist sails, practically new, is ready to sail, fresh from the yard, with its aluminum mast freshly repainted and retooled; it is powered by a Yamaha 6-hp two-stroke outboard motor with a working propeller. Marine toilet. The skeg is made of bronze. Sole owner since 2005.

A CLASSIC “MADE IN ITALY”… LOOKING FOR A TREE
We continue our review of used boats with a great classic. This one costs 16,000 and requires some minor work, but rearranged it could acquire good value. Designed in 1988 by the Vallicelli studio, Comet 303 (9.50 x 3.15 m) is one of the last models produced by Comar and later reproduced by Media Ship, which markets it without substantial changes from the original version. The 303 remains a hull with excellent sailing potential, thanks to the more than 56 sq. m. of sail area for 3800 kg displacement and the clean, unforced water lines.
The interior layout, with the toilet aft and two separate cabins, is still current; the counter-molded furniture gives that hi tech touch to the whole and limits surface maintenance. Very large charting area and kitchen. The model we propose is from 1990, powered by Volvo 18 hp. This is a sailboat with ten-year overhaul to be done: antifouling, anti-osmosis, the mast to be rigged. A good investment!

SHOW MUST GO ON!
We close with a great classic that, even today, still ignites the hearts of fans. And that it is on sale for only 18,000 euros. Designed by Doug Peterson (the designer of Luna Rossa in 2000!), the Show 34 (10.26 x 3.31 m, produced 1975-84) was a well-proportioned boat with good sailing performance and successfully participated in regattas. The cockpit was quite small, given the narrow aft width that characterized the designs of the time. In compensation below deck, the arrangements were comfortable and well thought out.
There were two versions, which differed in the layout of the square. In the first (called L7) on the right is a U-shaped sofa, which can be converted into a double bunk. In the second (R7) two berths per broadside, placed one above the other, with a fold-down table in the middle. In the bow is a cabin with a double bed and a toilet; next to the descent is the galley. Aft a cabin. However, the simple fiberglass construction was solid and safe (beware of osmosis!).
The model under review, visible in La Spezia, is from 1978. It has tiller steering and with all equipment. Buck 20 HP engine, rebuilt 2018. It is being sold, reluctantly, by the two partners who have had it for 25 years, “due to age limitation.” The price is very attractive.
