Another nice coup for the folks at Ubi Maior Italia: the Molino del Piano (Florence)-based company, which specializes in deck equipment, after outfitting Emirates Team New Zealand, winner of the last America’s Cup, is launching itself into the world of ocean sailing that matters.
In fact, it has become a “preferred supplier” of the Alex Thomson Racing team for 2019-21. As the supplier of deck equipment for the new IMOCA 60 with Hugo Boss foils, Ubi Maior’s engineering department will develop a series of custom products with the collaboration of the team of Thomson, a famous Welsh loner famous not only for his prestigious results in the various ocean trials (second at the last Vendée Globe and the world’s fastest man in monohull over 24 hours) but also for his “walks” on keels and masts with the boat under sail.
Ubi Maior Italy, established in 2010 as a branch of Dini Srl, a historic company specializing in precision mechanics, continues its work made of research and optimization and is present on board the most performing boats with its products: among its clients at sea are Mylius, TP52, Wally, just to name a few.
