Tokyo Olympics postponed to 2021

The Tokyo Olympics are postponed to the summer of 2021, on dates to be announced later. The news was now in the air after several nations, for example, Canada and Australia, had indicated that they would not be willing to send their delegations. The last time the Olympics were skipped was 1940 because of the Second World War.
Japan eventually had to surrender to the evidence of the impossibility of going ahead with the organization of the Olympic event, net of the possibility that by the end of July the emergency might be over or under control. An inevitable decision, devastating from a psychological, sporting and economic point of view, communicated by Prime Minister Shinzo Abe who had been the prime sponsor of Tokyo 2020.
