HOLIDAYS! AN UNUSUAL CRUISE IN JULY/AUGUST AEOLIAN AND GREECE
photo 2 pandora

On board the Pandora faithful reproduction of a 19th century schooner courses in seamanship, where maneuvers are “the old-fashioned way,” a forgotten but fascinating and highly educational sailing in unforgettable places. Two types of vacation courses. A softer one, fewer miles to be covered at a slower pace, around the Aeolian Islands; and a more challenging, and technical, though certainly very enjoyable one between Greece and the Black Sea. This is not classic chartering; everyone on board will be as much concerned with navigation, voyage planning, resource management and safety on board as they are with tidying up, galley and routine maintenance (sail sewing, block restoration, splicing..). Of course, there will be no shortage of leisure time, swimming, snorkeling dives, and shore visits. The motto is to put yourself out there, and trust your instructors, in a totally new way!
July 23-29 with embarkation and disembarkation in Vibo Marina (Aeolian Islands), July 30 to August 5 with embarkation and disembarkation in Vibo Marina (Aeolian Islands), August 22 to 28 with embarkation in Otranto and disembarkation in Athens, and August 29 to September 4 with embarkation in Athens and disembarkation in Constanta. Cost for one week per person 500 euros. Find out more and make a reservation.

POST-HOLIDAY: WITH THE LEGENDARY MATTEO MICELI TO BECOME A “PROFESSIONAL”

Hurry, there are still only three spots available in November for the two full immersion courses in 4 days in big offshore sailing: a “pre Master” Before tackling navigation as a command officer with an outstanding master the navigator Matteo Miceli. Not a walk at sea, because whatever the weather, you will sail and stay at sea for four days and four nights in the central Tyrrhenian Sea, starting from Riva di Traiano. Only 4 people will set sail each time, for a schedule defined according to crew capacity and weather conditions. The crew will be able to acquire the skills needed to navigate safely both day and night, to maintain and prepare the boat, to deal with bad weather and to handle the unexpected, emergencies and breakdowns most frequently encountered at sea; they will be able to hone techniques for proper sail trim and for making moorings and unmoorings in challenging conditions. We will learn about polyphasic sleep management for small crew navigation, meteorology, electronics, and more. Learn more and book
