After the success of the First Yacht 53 (read our video test HERE ), Italian designers Roberto Biscontini and Lorenzo Argento continue their collaboration with the Beneteau group. What’s simmering in the pot? The two designers will enter the development of the Oceanis range, starting with one model: the new Oceanis Yachts 54.
What are we talking about? To find out more information, we contacted Lorenzo Argento:
“Beneteau is continuing a process of reorganizing its ranges, which included introducing a new “Yacht” line for the Oceanis as well. Where by yacht, as in the case of the First 53, we mean a boat from 48-50 feet and up, placed in a certain market range, with a rather refined style and level of quality“.
But what kind of boat will this new Oceanis Yacht 54 be? “The water lines are the same as those of the First Yacht 53, on a boat concept declined in Oceanis version with everything that is typically on the Oceanis, even in terms of price. The following have been realized a deck and interior adapted for more cruise and even charter use, a more “cruising” boat in short. It will be a little less performant, since for example it will not have the deep draft option, and still more comfortable with solutions like the roll bar in the cockpit“.
In the coming months, as we await the official unveiling that will take place at the late summer shows, we will know more and, most importantly, we will have the first images.
