To address the lack of personal protective equipment in hospitals in one of the hardest-hit areas in the Brescia area, a former head physician at Gardone Val Trompia Hospital, Renato Favero, came the idea of repurposing Decathlon’s Easybreath snorkel masks with integrated breathing apparatus into emergency breathing masks.

So he turned to the Brescia-based 3D printing company Isinnova, which designed and 3D printed the connecting fittings between the Easybreath and standard hospital tubing after Decathlon, which had thousands in stock, provided CAD drawings of the product without delay. And now, this mask that has become a symbol of the Italian spirit of adaptation is back to what it is: a “must have” item for your cruise: it offers a 180-degree field of view and eliminates the problem of fogging thanks to a dual airflow system.
