National Team Regatta
On file is the fourth National Regatta of the L’Equipe class. In the Evo category, victory for the Ventimiglia-based Serecchia/Trifarò team, with Salvatorelli-Peria of Circolo della Vela Marciana Marina in second place. In the Under 12s, success for local crew Pezzella/Maltese. HERE THE RANKINGS
Cardiff (Wales, UK)
Third Stage Extreme Sailing Series
Oman Air wins the third Act of the Extreme Sailing Series after an intense final played out with direct rivals Red Bull Sailing Team. SAP Extreme Sailing Team, with Italy’s Pierluigi De Felice on board, earned its first podium finish of the 2016 season, finishing third ahead of the Swiss crew of Alinghi. HERE THE RANKINGS

FestiVela Trophy-Raul Gardini Trophy
The 2016 FestiVela-Trofeo Raul Gardini Trophy for the Optimist class has concluded. In the fleet series triumphed junior Federico Grilli followed by Ilan Muccino. In third place Edward Bocale. First female Federica Benvenuti Gostoli, second place Serena Montesi and in third place Swami Sciarra. Among the Cadets, Lorenzo Pezzilli came out on top ahead of Gabriele Venturino, who in turn was followed by Alberto Chersoni. First placed “pink” Camilla Ivaldi, second Alessia Bona and third Giada Babini. The Raul Gardini Trophy went to Team Vela Città di Cesenatico. HERE THE RANKINGS

National Windsurfer Regatta
The fourth national regatta of the Windsurfer Class season was held. The final rankings saw Gardette on the podium in the lightweights, followed by Marchesi and Valdivieso, in the heavyweights Torzoni followed by Anderland and Baglione. In the Women’s Barbara Colarullo solo. HERE THE RANKINGS

Millevele 2016
Itacentodue, Adriano Calvini’s Maxi dominated in real at the 2016 Millevele (169 boats at the start) in Genoa. These are the winners in each category: Category 1: Itacentodue by Adriano Calvini; Category 2: Argo by Luciano Manfredi; Category 3: Voloira IV by the Zucchi brothers; Category 4: Foxy Lady by Armando Gambaro; Category 5: Hellcat by Leporatti-Raffo-Valerio; Category 6: Pegaso-Marina Militare by Andrea Pendibene. Meteor Summer Championship
Fabio Rossi’s Yanez is the undisputed winner of the Meteor Summer Championship concluded in Naples, ahead of CNV’s A’ Fenestrella and LNI Naples’ Wonderful. HERE THE RANKINGS
Porto Venere (La Spezia)
M32 Series Mediterranean
The first leg of the M32 Series Mediterranean in Porto Venere closes with 14 trials under its belt. Swiss Richard Davies aboard Section16 with Italian Manuel Modena on mainsail won the first event. Second place for Riccardo Simoneschi’s Italia Sailing Team with Enrico Zennaro as tactician. Finishing third were the Italian boys from Monaco’s Guido Miani at the helm of Neverland, Gabriele Benussi, Massimo Gherarducci and Gaetano Figlia di Granara. HERE THE RANKINGS
Limone del Garda (Brescia)
Italian Protagonist Championship
Spirito Libero by Brescia-based owner Claudio Bazzoli (Circolo Vela Gargnano) wins the National Championship of the Protagonist class. The Championship podium is completed by The Butterfly Weight of Roberta de Munari and Marco Schirato (CV Gargnano) and Luca of the Avesani family (CN Brenzone). HERE THE RANKINGS
Kiel (Germany)
Kieler Woche
The legendary Kieler Woche has come to an end. As for the Olympic classes, of note is Giovanni Coccoluto’s second place in the Laser Standard, preceded only by Germany’s Philipp Bull, while in the Radial Valentina Balbi is ninth and in the women’s 49er FX acrobatic double Maria Ottavia Raggio and Paola Bergamaschi achieve an excellent fourth place. As for the World Junior 470, among the men Giacomo Ferrari and Giulio Calabrò finish fifth and among the women Benedetta Di Salle-Alessandra Dubbini, defending champions, are fifth, Paternoster-Caruso eighth. In the J/70 field, the European title is for Petite Terrible-Adria Ferries led by Claudia Rossi, with Edoardo Lupi’s Torpyione fourth and Alessio Querin’s Mummy One seventh and first of the Corinthians. European Championship B14
Final day for the European B14 aerobatic drift. The Australian crew of Graig Garmston and Paul Newman won. In second place were fellow Australians Bancroft-Grace ahead of Brits Tim Harrison and Jonathan Ratcliffe. HERE THE RANKINGS

Ufo Cup
Ufo 22 class president Giorgio Zorzi, accompanied by an all-female crew, to win the third leg of the Ufo Cup circuit on Lake Iseo followed by Leonardo Ricci’s Ma.Ma with Enrico Cusinato at the helm and Pasquale Errico’s Era Ora completing the podium. HERE THE RANKINGS
Viareggio (Lucca)
Finn Italy Cup – Fourth leg
After victories in Anzio and Castiglione della Pescaia, Marche’s Giacomo Giovanelli won the fourth Finn Italian Cup stage in Viareggio. Behind him are Enrico Voltolini and Marco Buglielli. HERE THE RANKINGS
