Usual crowd bath (as is almost always the case on Saturdays) for a Genoa Boat Show that, never more than this year, has sailing as its flagship sector: again today we beat out booths of accessory makers and shipyards in search of previews and interesting products. Visitors’ impressions? A salon redesigned for sailboats.
BOATS – ADVANCED 44, THE WORLD PREVIEW IS IN GENOA.
World premiere at the Genoa Boat Show for the Advanved 44. In the video above we show you the deck, an emblem of minimalism applied to the sailboat. A closer look reveals the similarity to its 66-foot big brother-a sign of the family felling sought by the shipyard for its latest creation, among the real stars of this show.
ELECTRONICS – RAYMARINE, FUNCTIONS TO SATISFY SAILORS
Raymarine’s Carlo Baj explains how the new Raymarine a9 and a12 multifunctionals work, with a focus on features useful to sailors.
BOATS – HUZAR 28, THE BOAT THAT CAME FROM THE COLD
Not just dockside rides. During this salon we also went out to sea to try out a bright red boat that attracted us with its aggressive lines. The Huzar 28 is a daysailer hull built in Poland by the Huzar Boats shipyard and resold in Italy by Northester. A small torpedo for those who like to sail without placing too much importance on comfort on board.
SAILS – THE FIRST “MONOLITHIC” SAIL
Revolution in the world of sails? Marco Holm administrator of the Millennium technology hub presents the first monolithic sail, formed from a single piece, and constructed from split fibers. A sail composed of 100% microfibers that work efficiently across the entire surface
EQUIPMENT – FRICTION IN MANEUVERING NO THANKS
Federico Costalli of Marina Service demonstrates the operation of Jet Thruster, the revolutionary waterjet maneuver aid system.
