Sailing has officially restarted in this 2021. Italy is teeming with initiatives: boat shows (such as the one in Venice, which starts May 29), offshore regattas (the next one is the 151 Miglia: 250 entries, start May 30), events and open days.
Trieste, the acknowledged capital of sailing, has not been idle either: coming July 14-18 is YES, an acronym for Yachting Entertainment Show, a major sailing festival that will have its centerpiece in four events.

At the same time (July 14-16) the Gulf will host great Maxi sailing, with the first MAXI ON Trophy featuring a fascinating route across the Adriatic: departure from Trieste on the 14th, arrival in Pula, Croatia. Then from Pula on the 15th to Venice, and finally on the 16th last stage Venice-Trieste, with arrival in front of Piazza Unità and subsequent award ceremony.

It’s not over yet: YES involves the territory with a special formula: Regionando FVG (Festival Vela Gusto), July 14-17. In addition to the competitions in fact, each region will also compete for a special ranking with show cooking and display of typical products.
THE BIG PARTY AT SEA
Finally, on July 18, the big party that aims to become a major summer fixture for all fans. The YES Trophy, a regatta open to all boats along the Trieste coast com arrival, after skimming the Miramare Castle, in front of Piazza Unità .
Compatible with the progress of the pandemic and the spread of the vaccine intended to counter it, it is possible to assume the setting up of a hospitality village on the shores of Trieste with exhibition spaces for artists, musicians and anyone who would like to tell their story or ideas, also in view of the fact that two events, First YES Trophy and MAXI ON, will end right in front of one of the most beautiful squares in the world.
