He has been quietly working on it for a long time, and now B&G has launched Nemesis, a new generation of data repeaters for sailing, featuring enhanced visibility, with full customization or pre-set multifunctional templates and easy-to-use automatic dashboards that are based on where you are sailing. Available with 9- and 12-inch screens, they are the “premium” solution for data visualization. Mounting can be either horizontal or vertical, making these instruments ideal for installation at the tree or on supports.
NEMESIS SECRETS EXPLAINED BY B&G ENGINEERS
Let’s start with visibility: what technology did they rely on in B&G?
A bright IPS SolarMax HD touchscreen with extremely wide viewing angles offers the ability to see even with polarized sunglasses, from anywhere on board. With its adjustable data size, paddles, and backlighting, Nemesis enables optimal visualization in all conditions, both on the mast and in the cockpit.
We come to personalization. The customizable all-in-one display can be mounted horizontally or vertically, and the easy-to-use drag-and-drop selection editor allows complete customization through a wide selection of graphical indicators, SailSteerTM, tank levels, digital data, IP camera views, histograms, and images.
You will be able to select the desired data, colors, size and location; alternatively, you will simply be able to choose from a range of preselected integrated B&G templates and dashboards. Additional automatic contextual modes allow you to choose the navigation data to be displayed based on the point or sailing mode: Upwind, Proximity, Downwind, or Forewind.
The Nemesis display can be controlled via the touchscreen or from an Apple Watch. Connectivity is with Ethernet and/or NMEA 2000.
The price? Nemesis will be available from December 2020, starting at €3,021 + VAT.
