Sporting, corporate and solidarity events related to the boating world are a valuable tool to revitalize and stimulate the inducement around this world, loaded with positive values too often taken for granted by those who live it. Corporate events offered by Cristiana Monina Nautical Events (www.cristianamonina.it) cover all areas of interest to companies: from relationship events to new product launches, from incentives to team building, as well as gala dinners aboard yachts, sailing ships or vintage shuttles.
30 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
“My experience of more than 30 years in the sailing world has enabled me to establish strong relationships with marinas and yacht clubs in the Mediterranean and beyond and with Italian and foreign skippers with whom I have sailed and raced. Hence the idea of using all these expertise of mine for companies and thus founding the event agency that bears my name. And as sailing has taught me: to achieve the goal you have to put together the right team, and so I involved Barbara Biggiero, a non-sailor with more than 20 years’ experience in the world of communication who has designed and followed communication projects for national and international companies, in this mi adventure. Her unquestionable skill in this field and my in-depth knowledge of the sailing world is fundamental to the best organization of an event at sea and the related reception and logistics ashore. Not only that, thanks to my network of acquaintances we are able to offer our clients the possibility to realize their events in exclusive, historical and prestigious venues as are the Italian and more generally Mediterranean yacht clubs.” emphasizes Cristiana Monina.
SAILING EVENTS
“A sailing event can be declined in several ways: offers an opportunity for a company’s marketing to position and/or launch a product or strengthen sales in one or more geographic areas; for the company’s communication or external relations it offers an opportunity to leverage an unusual event at the media level and strengthen stakeholder relations; for the sales manager it creates a unique platform to establish relationships with prospective customers as well as to motivate and reward area managers and to reward those who have achieved the results and goals of the quater or year; finally for communication it offers a new platform, also related to sponsorships, to make brand awareness or brand identity by linking a company’s brand to a sport that expresses technology, speed, innovation, being green, prestige, elegance and tradition. Cristiana’s experience on board as skipper and team manager also highlights that for human resources, the sailboat is the ideal tool to: do training create a sense of belonging by transforming a group into a team that sails toward a common goal strengthened by consistent leadership;” says Barbara Biggiero partner of the company.
TEAMWORK
“Sailing is above all teamwork difact apart from some dinghies all other types of boats involve the formation of a team that shares the same goal and within which there is always a specific and clear division of roles that must at the same time work in close synergy and communicate with each other, only then can they cross the finish line and achieve the goal. Sailing is indeed a great school of life with its values, team working and shared goals useful in our personal, social and professional growth,” continues Cristiana Monina. The idea behind our proposals is to focus on the emotional experience and develop creative energy that each event leaves in the soul of each participant. An experience becomes unforgettable because individual participants feel involved and some unique and unrepeatable moments that are forever etched in their memories. “Companies, now more than ever, need to motivate their employees and build customer loyalty with engaging relational events; it is no longer enough to just, ‘show’ but to ‘do,’ ‘try,’ and ‘experience.’ The event or meeting on a sailboat breaks down any formality, you get in tune in a short time with those around you transforming a business meeting into a “happening” for these reasons the sailboat is the ideal tool to consolidate and create new relationships and at the same time have a unique experience ensuring the productivity of the event. In addition, boat activities, aimed at human capital, are not only educational but also rewarding and help to value one’s staff since sailing is still perceived as an unusual sport. ” adds Barbara Biggiero.
A SHARED IDEA
Unlike charter companies, relying on experienced event planning consultants means designing an event from an idea shared with the company’s marketing and communications and then being assisted in choosing the location (marina and yacht club) and the most suitable fleet for the client’s objectives by designing and managing the race course, choosing the federal judges and race committee, professional skippers if needed, maritime authorizations following the logistics at sea with assistance dinghies and ashore for the organization of all services such as transfers, hospitality and the outfitting of both the boats and the location. All this also promotes optimization of the investment for the company. Depending on the company’s objective, the activity at sea can be developed in different ways using a variety of boat types: one-design boats, offshore boats, and maxi yachts with sail and/or motor. Depending on the number of participants, who are not required to have any sailing skills, fleet races with different formats or match races or simple sailings can be organized.
The nautical event then, whatever its nature, becomes a symbol of excellence, authenticity and great appeal because of its inherent versatility, while still elevating the image of the company, which thus becomes more virtuous in both external and internal eyes. The company’s ability to take advantage of such events ensures it a certain “return on investment.”
