Sun, wind, mistral up to 30 knots and blue sea. This can be summed up as the TAG Heuer VELA Cup stop in Sardinia, which for the second consecutive year landed at the Caprera Sailing Center in the picturesque setting of Porto Palma, one of the most beautiful natural bays in the Mediterranean.

The mistral since early morning was sweeping the water giving it that crystal-clear color that only the sea of Sardinia “combed” by the Northwest can show: no harm done, the crews prepared for a “masculine” race/sailing along the coastal route prepared by our team through the islands of the archipelago, between the Bisce and Mortorio. The overall winner in compensated time was the Mylius 60 Why Not. Too bad that due to the strong Mistral some of the registered boats were unable to reach Porto Palma, but those who completed the course did a great feat of seamanship.

THE WINNERS.

CRUISE 1: First 25.7 Thunder

CRUISE 2: Salona 45 H2one

CRUISE 3: Mylius 60 Why Not.

RACE 1: Nelson 46 Galactica
