Connecting the boat to electricity at the dock has never been safer. How? With SmartPlug, Saim Marine ‘s new standard that enables secure connections, ease of use and a larger contact area. There is also instant insertion with a tear-proof latch system. SmartPlug is available in 16/32/50 Amp versions.
SmartPlug, from today bringing power to the boat is safer!
How does SmartPlug work? With an outlet and associated plug system that allows electricity to be brought on board from dockside columns. With a contact surface area of the socket and plug poles about 20 times greater than conventional systems, SmartPlug reduces the possibility of contact overheating, sometimes the cause of dangerous fires on board.
SmartPlug sockets are easy to install on board. They have 4 attachment points and are compatible with industry standards. These sockets are available in 16/32/50 Amp versions, in stainless steel or plastic resin–in gray, black and white–resisting to high temperatures.
Safety of Saim Marine’s SmartPlug
The Smartplug has weatherproof seals that prevent corrosion of the contacts and a safety lock that firmly attaches the plug to the back of the connector.
The plug, also made of high-temperature-resistant material, has two spring-loaded stainless steel side levers that make it automatically adhere to the socket and make it very easy to use. Two blue LEDs on the top of the socket indicate the presence of voltage.
To meet every need, cables for connection to the dockside column are available in three different lengths of 12.5, 15.5 and 25 meters.
