When the French shipyard Jeanneau launched its new Sun Odyssey line, experts were positively amazed by the courage to come up with something new in design and appealing in brand new lines.
At Milan Yachting Week – The digital boat show, in the booth of Jeanneau by 43° Parallaelo you will be able to view the full range of the three new Sun Odyssey 2021 models starting with the 410 (m 12.35 overall length) and continuing with the 440 (m 13.00 overall length) and ending with the 490 (m 14.42 overall length).
Why the Sun Odyssey 2021s are so innovative.
What is so innovative about the new Jeanneau Sun Odyssey range? You can find out right now by visiting the boats on the dock at Milano Yachting Week – The digital boat show where you will find dozens of boats from the world’s best shipyards and of all sizes, from 3 to 30 meters. Here is a summary of what you will find about the new Jeanneau Sun Odyssey models that are designed by archistar Philippe Briand.
Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 410 (12.35 x 3.99 m): space and elegance in just 12 meters
The Sun Odyssey 410 is the perfect example of combining comfort, performance and elegance in a 41-foot boat. One of the highlights is the salon, which has an innovative layout with a central galley that is worth seeing in the photos found inside the booth.
Not to be outdone are the spaces on deck, where the passage from the cockpit to the bow is all on one level, eliminating dangerous transitions. The hull, the work of Briand is powerful and allows for unsuspected sailing speeds.
The Sun Odyssey 410 ‘s maneuvers are simple and intuitive. Interesting is the adoption of the lower-than-normal boom, which facilitates mainsail gathering.

Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 440 (13.00 x 4.29 m): the 13-meter benchmark
The Sun Odyssey 440 is now the benchmark of 13-meter fast cruisers. You will be amazed at the roominess and clever use of the interior, making it a boat with dimensions that seem significantly larger than its actual length. Credit is also due to the boat’s width of an impressive 4.29 meters that extends to the extreme stern, increasing the space of the aft cabins and cockpit. You will want to look carefully at photos of the interior of the Sun Odyssey 440 where you can see the quality of the materials and what ingenious solutions there are. Also in this Sun Odyssey model, deck spaces are generous and there is the ingenious passage from bow to stern all on one level, eliminating dangerous transitions. In addition, the cockpit sides can be folded down, creating amazing chaise lounges for sunbathing . This hull is also the work of Briand, as in the 410 it is powerful and allows for unsuspected sailing speeds. The Sun Odyssey 440 ‘s maneuvers are optimized for use by even one person.

Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 490 (14.42 x 4.49 m): the small 14-meter superyacht
The Sun Odyssey 490 can be classified as a true small superyacht. You only need to look at the sleek line, interior and deck photos to see why it can be called that. Let us let you in on a secret, Philippe Briand who also designed this boat, is one of the world’s leading superyacht designers. In this boat he borrowed all the amenities and aesthetic details proper to maxi boats. You’ll want to look carefully at photos of the interior of the Sun Odyssey 490 to realize this right away. Also in this Sun Odyssey model there is the ingenious transition from bow to stern all on one level, eliminating dangerous steps. The stern is a true terrace overlooking the sea that allows the boat to be extended into the roadstead. This hull is also the work of Briand, as in the 410 and 440 it is high performance and allows for very high sailing and motor speed averages . The Sun Odyssey 490 ‘s rigging is also optimized for use by a small crew.
