Sailor of the Year, STOP VOTING! Here are the 25 who passed the round

Sailor of the Year, stop voting! You have decided, with nearly 7,000 votes (to be precise, 6,741) who are the magnificent 25 candidates who passed the second round of the Sailor of the Year and enter the “semifinals” (how the 2017 edition of the most prestigious award in Italian sailing works is explained at the bottom of the article).

From these, the jury, aided by your votes (you will be “called to the polls” from March 31 to April 14) will select the 5 who will make up the final shortlist of candidates for the awards (Sailor of the Year, TAG Heuer Performance, Innovation, Young and #don’tcrackunderpressure) and whom you can meet at the TAG Heuer VELAFestival in Santa Margherita during the Day of Champions (May 5). Who will win what you will find out at the Evening of Champions, starting at 7 p.m.

THE “SUPERVOTES”
Let’s cut to the chase, it’s time for the rankings, here are the 25 who passed the round, with the number of votes and the percentage of the total preferences expressed: as had happened in the first phase, the Calabrian kiter Tony Cili he racked up the votes, and they also did very well. Gaetano Mura e Peppe Fornich, the owner of the Grand Soleil 37 Sagola Biotrading. Paolo Bua, the designer who drives the French crazy, and Mattia Cesana, winner among Cadets at the Garda Meeting, also did very well.
