After the endorsements of many great sailors and sailors (Andrea Mura, Vincenzo Onorato and many others, we told you about them HERE), the TAG Heuer VELA Cup in Caprera (Monday, August 26 organized with the Caprera Sailing Center) is enriched with an exceptional “godmother.” “Of course I will be there, I can’t miss it!” informed us Marianna De Micheli, the “navigator,” as she likes to call herself.

THE “NAVIGATOR”
The Milanese actress became famous for playing the villainous Carol Grimani on “Centovetrine.” After eight years on the set, she decided to step out of the role of a small screen actress (she is now engaged in theater!) and step into that of a sailor, boarding a small sailboat (the Comet 910 Plus Maipenrai) and circumnavigating Italy alone, with the sole company of her cat, Jingjok. Hence, the book “Hundred Little Hundreds” was born.
Today the “Navigator” never gets off her boat, and her adventures are followed on the web and social media: “What I would like to communicate to people who follow my voyages and nautical adventures is the freedom to imagine,” says Marianna, “the ability to think that one can always have, without then too much difficulty, the possibility of a different life. My going out to sea alone is considered extraordinary, given my little experience, but evidently, and of this I am proud, I can convey the message, “IF I DID IT, YOU CAN DO IT, too!.”
Come and meet her at the VELA Cup in Caprera, Marianna will be happy to tell you her beautiful story of sea and passion.
