The Rustler shipyard has always made boats with timeless shapes, or rather boats with deliberately retro shapes. Long keel, slender bows , closed stern and central cockpit: these are the must-have cornerstones of the British shipyard that meet the tastes of many admirers of the genre. Rising to prominence with the exploits of the Rustler 37 at the Golden Globe (round-the-world 70′ boats, find out HERE), the shipyard has decided to launch a new flagship, the Rustler 57.

Designed by Stephen Jones, it will be made according to the parameters that have made the brand famous. No concessions to modern lines, but the timeless quality of a boat where marine capabilities are everything and quality and attention to detail is a must-have philosophy. The only modern “quirk” is the opening aft beach, with convenient sea drop and tender garage, a concession to more “frivolous” comfort that many will appreciate.

Another interesting detail noticeable from the first drawing is the rigid spray hood on the deckhouse, a solution that Hallberg Rassy introduced and is cleverly repurposed by Rustler. Aesthetically much nicer than a classic spray hood, it protects the cockpit without being visually cumbersome and, most importantly, leaves the helmsman with an excellent view toward the bow.

The official data sheet has not yet been released.
