“Touch” revolution in sailing! Allures Yachting (the Cherbourg, France-based shipyard founded in 2003 that specializes in aluminum boats with lifting keels) will launch the first fully touch multifunction chart table at the Paris Boat Show, developed in collaboration with Kara Technology.
HOME THEATER, COMPUTER, CHART TABLE
Kara was created with one goal: to (further) simplify life on board by offering a single platform on which to “run” the different technologies on board. This is not just a multifunction dedicated to boating, which integrates all the on-board instrumentation and with which you will plot your routes on the huge touchscreen.
On this obviously reclining and height-adjustable table, you can watch movies and photos, listen to music (just like a “home theater”), read e-books, play games, or use it as an office computer, with separate apps and windows that can be customized in size-four people will be able to “get their hands” on it at the same time. It will take advantage of 4G, Bluetooth, Wifi, and GPS connections in such a way as to turn the boat into a real hotspot. What do you think?
The first boat on which Kara will be installed, instead of the chart table, will be the Allures 39.9, then it will be mounted on all other boats. This video summarizes the functions of the innovative table:
