Record-breaking Brindisi-Corfu, all the winners

Departure Brindisi - Corfu 2016026 June 8, 2016Long regatta numbers grow: record number of participants in the 151 Miglia (208 boats entered), Giraglia that is expected to be extra-crowded (300 boats are reported) and Brindisi-Corfu (104 miles from the Apulian capital to Kassiopi, on the Greek island, with the novelty of the gate at Otranto) which, with 134 boats at the start from 9 nations, has exceeded all predictions proving, more and more, the only major offshore race in the lower Adriatic. Decisive this year was the mass participation in the regatta by Greek shipowners: “The participation of competitors from Corfu increased by 50 percent,” said Gouvia Marina Sailing Club president Dimitros Koutsodontis.
