He and she aboard a brand-new superboat in Porto Massimo on La Maddalena, one of the most picturesque locations in the Mediterranean. A dream that in the night turned into a nightmare
: The two German sailors, husband and wife, found themselves stranded on the rocks with their new Dufour 460 GL after, due to the strong north wind, as reported by local newspaper L’Unione Sarda, the mooring line (we don’t know whether at the buoy or the anchor line) tore off.

The two, who had bought the boat just two weeks before, were rescued and recovered (not without difficulty due to weather conditions) by the Coast Guard after, having abandoned the stranded boat and at the mercy of the wind, they took refuge on a rock nearby. Dufour will be recovered as soon as conditions permit.
