47 004At last here are the first sailing photos of the new Solaris 47, which had its world premiere at boot Düsseldorf 2016. The Solaris 47 is the evolution of the Solaris 50: this is the first and currently only model of this size that offers all the accouterments and innovations aimed at true use of the high-performance boat even with a small crew.

The self-tacking rail recessed below deck, the only four winches in the helmsman area from which all maneuvers can be managed, the complete separation of guest and cockpit maneuvering areas, the dedicated raft compartment with easy access, and the watertight sail locker of significant size define the main essential features of this new thoroughbred from the Solaris house.
In addition, and in particular, Solaris 47 has the garage for the tender: under the cockpit, with adequate space for boat and outboard storage, closed by a convenient hatch for easy maneuvering.

47 001EXTERIOR
The hull shapes are a refinement of the water lines already extensively tested successfully at sea on the Solaris 50 and confirm the quality of the water lines designed by Javier Soto Acebal. The distribution of weights and submerged volumes define a high-performance hull even in adverse sea conditions, with high stability coefficients to be able to keep a lot of sail ashore even in a stiff wind. All design and construction solutions adopted meet the stringent standards of ocean-going maxi yachts, where the complexity of construction and the study of systems require specific expertise and experience.

47 002CONSTRUCTION
All bottom and side rails and stringers of the boat are layered to the hull without the use of counter-molds glued with putty and silicone. All furniture is glued to the hull with fiberglass faceplates. The moorings are not made of steel but of composite material consisting of 40 layers of unidirectional glass and carbon fabrics. The monolithic structural continuity thus achieved through the use of fiberglass alone eliminates at the root the deformations caused by wind on the sail plan, sea on the hull, and bulb straightening load, eliminating creaks, doors that struggle to close while sailing, and cracks that form over time, making the boat immune to deformation and twisting in any sea or wind condition. The result of this monolithic structural solidity is achieved through the use of only one material, fiberglass, without putty and silicone, and without counter-molds for the assembly of the five key points of the boat: main bulkhead; chainplates; stays and spars; mast base; keel attachment

dinette_3INTERIOR
The interiors of Solaris 47 with a three-cabin, two-bathroom layout were carefully studied on a 1:1 scale model to get full-size feedback on space cut and ergonomics of the 3D-designed rooms. The layout is classic with an L-shaped galley on the port side and a master cabin in the bow. Craftsmanship in the choice of woods and on-site assembly of all components ensure an unsurpassed standard of quality.
