What a spectacle the St. Barth’s Bucket Regatta, one of the most exclusive international events for superyachts and J-Classes, which once again this year consecrated the Caribbean island of St. Barthelemy as the capital of the international “super sail”! Crystal waters, breathtaking scenery, quite a bit of mundanity (there are those who like it and those who don’t) but most of all gorgeous boats.

YOU ARE PERINI, BUT MOSTLY YOU ARE J-CLASS
Suffice it to say that as many as 6 boats churned out by the Perini Navi shipyard were competing in this year’s edition, number 30: Aquarius (47m), Maltese Falcon (88m), P2 (38m), Perseus3 (60m), Rosehearty (56m), Zenji (56m). Most importantly, six J-Classes competed: for the record, Hanuman won among them, followed by Velsheda (launched in 1933 from the slipways of the Camper & Nicholson shipyard) and Lionheart.
We’ve also talked too much: enjoy the J-Class show, if you want to envy the lucky owners and crews, daydream, with master Carlo Borlenghi’s photos!
