While most people were grilling steaks in the green on May 1 (or were in the square for the many events), the Medplastic Team was buzzing: its presence at the TAG Heuer VELAFestival 2019 in Santa Margherita (May 2-5) constituted Medplastic’s first “public outing.” The nonprofit association, “rib” of the Journal of Sailing, which we created for the preservation of the Mediterranean. “The first impression is the one that counts,” we told each other, “at Santa we can’t go wrong.”
WHAT A SUCCESS THE ECOMARINER’S MANIFESTO WAS.
It was wonderful, for four days, to get to know the many people who stopped by our booth, each attracted by different motivations: those who – and there were many – to sign the Ecomarine Manifesto (YOU CAN DOWNLOAD IT HERE), join and thus become a plastic hunter, some to support us with a donation, some to develop common plans, synergies or propose ideas to take care of our plastic-choked sea.
