There is a new idol of the crowds, who left everyone speechless at the start of the Vendée Globe (the nonstop solo round-the-world race from Les Sables d’Olonne). He does not appear among the favorites, but how can you not root for Kojiro Shiraishi, skipper of Spirit of Yukoh, the first Japanese to participate in the Vendée?
