Long-boat enthusiasts will be familiar with the name Oyster, and many of our readers will surely remember the case of the Polina Star III (read it HERE), the Oyster 825 that lost its keel and sank. An event that later proved decisive in the site’s failure. In the meantime, however, Oyster Yachts has been reborn under new ownership (Read it HERE).

But to be reborn for good, one more signal was needed, the production of new models. And here Oyster is indeed back on the market with a newly introduced boat, the Oyster 565. The choice of this size does not seem random to us, in fact, to start again the shipyard has chosen a new entry level, a new beginning in practice. And even the philosophy of the boat does not appear casual.

Designed by Humphreys Yacht Design, the new 565 in the words of its designer “Does not need a professional crew, we designed it with the adventurous couple and young family in mind.” All of this, however, without any compromise on comfort, customization possibilities, and marinity-it is basically like a superyach in “pocket” size.

The configuration possibilities concern the keel at different drafts, a standard version with a draft of 2.50 and a lift from 1.66 to 3.96, depending on the areas of use: with the short draft the boat will in fact be able to enter the most “difficult” bays and ports despite its length.

For internal layouts, it will be possible to choose between two different internal layouts. Traditionally, the owner’s cabin on the Oyster is positioned in the stern, with the two guest cabins in the bow. However, the Oyster 565 introduces-for the first time ever-a layout with the master cabin forward. In this format, the aft cabin can remain as another large cabin or can be changed into two double cabins to accommodate more guests.

Similarly, it will be possible to choose from several sail plan options depending on the use of the boat, and there is no shortage of customization options on the exterior as well, such as the option for an extendable transom for Mediterranean use.
