by Sea Time – The Clocks of the Sea
Oris introduced its first dive watch in 1965. Since then, the sea has become central to the Maison’s collections, which today “takes to the water” with the Oris Ocean Trilogy, a project to concretely support the preservation of the marine environment.
Oris is, in fact, committed to supporting various projects related to the preservation of the oceans.
In 2018 there was the Source of Life project with Reno as the protagonist. Today it’s the oceans’ turn. With the Clean Ocean Limited Edition model, Oris supports Pacific Garbage Screening, the organization founded by Marcella Hansch to recover, before it ends up in the sea, plastic waste found in rivers and estuaries. In this watch, recycled plastic takes the form of an emblem applied to the case back.
Clean Ocean is part of the Oris Ocean Trilogy collection. Three limited edition watches to support as many initiatives.
With the Great Barrier Limited Edition III, Oris supports the Reef Restoration Foundation committed to protecting the health of Australia’s Great Barrier through innovative replanting techniques.
With the Blue Whale Limited Edition, he stands alongside the Whale and Dolphin Conservation, an association committed to the preservation of blue whales.
