36th America’s Cup presented by Prada
Race Day
Emirates Team New Zealand, Ineos Team UK
No racing on the final day of this America’s Cup appetizer, which included as its menu the Christmas Race, a mini final tournament between defender Team New Zealand and the three challengers. The wind did not lay down in Hauraki Gulf and the race committee, after starting the match between Emirates Team New Zealand and Ineos Team UK, a race that failed as the maximum time was exceeded, sent everyone ashore. So goes these America’s Cup appetizers, the last chance to see the defender Team New Zealand at work, which will now go into “ghost mode” during the Prada Cup in January and we won’t see it again until March for the America’s Cup.
We will still meet at 1 p.m. with John Ceccarelli, a designer who has participated in the America’s Cup, and Alessandro Smerchinich of the PoliTo Sailing Team, who will keep company with our own Bacci Del Buono and Mauro Giuffrè, live on our page Facebook, on our channel Youtube and in the event space of the Milan Yachting Week.
DON’T MISS THE CUP PAPER!
Every day at 1 p.m., we bring you live coverage of the America’s Cup and regattas
of Luna Rossa with prestigious guests, technical insights, videos, photos, background and anecdotes. Don’t miss the Cup Newspaper in the area dedicated to Milan Yachting Week!
