MP Network and GIZ for nautical development in Albania

During February, an agreement was finalized between MP Network and the German company “Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ)” to carry out an Assessment on the Albanian nautical market.
The analysis, commissioned directly by the government, involves an in-depth study of Albania’s nautical tourism scenario and involves MP Network as an operator specializing in Nautical Networks and marina management on the Adriatic Sea.
The activity will involve three months’ work in which MP Network specialists will will be in close contact with German consultants and GIZ specialists to delve into the issues necessary to provide Albanian government specialists with strategic guidance for the implementation of the country’s nautical tourism development plan.
MP Network thus concretizes an activity that began in 2014 with the participation in a number of in-depth sessions held between Rome and Tirana with the subject matter precisely of nautical tourism in Albania.
MP Network, in addition to consulting for the Albanian government, monitors and develops projects under the 2014 – 2020 Program for the Adriatic-Ionian Macro Region, which provides for European Community-funded activities aimed at fostering collaboration among Mediterranean coastal countries for the development of innovation, climate change transport and the environment.
Interesting results have already been achieved with the European Community in the Environmental sector with the award by MP Network and its partners of the Clean Sea Life project call for proposals, which includes awareness-raising activities for the reduction of marine litter and which for the next four years will involve MPM Marinas Network ports in prevention, dissemination and awareness-raising activities on the effects of plastic materials in the sea.
