A fine sirocco accompanied the 46 boats participating in the 11th edition of the Marina Yachting Trophy, organized as always by the Yacht Club of Chiavari in the Ligurian Gulf of Tigullio. Three coastal races (two on Saturday and one on Sunday), on Olympic triangle with passage around the fish farm in front of Lavagna, served to decide the winners of ORC, IRC and Free classes. Low Noise, by Giuseppe Giuffrè, 2014 ORC Class world champion, won in ORC2 Class, while Baciottinho, by Giuseppe Tadini, 2014 ORC Class Italian champion, won in IRC2 Class. The Giorgio Gavino Challenge Cup, put up for grabs by the Gavino family since the first edition of the Trophy for the boat that wins in the ORC Overall grouping, was awarded to CheStress3, Giancarlo Ghislanzoni’s J122, winner in the ORC grouping.
