Angelo Bacci, CEO of Marina Yacht Charter looks forward to the upcoming summer, which will be a step of further growth for the company. “The world of boating vacations is opening up to new slices of the market, and we are very happy to be at the forefront. Meanwhile, with the addition of several new boats to the fleet for the summer, again Dufour, after we had already accomplished the doubling of the fleet last year.
And already I can anticipate that for next year we will have 44-foot catamarans, sail and motor, as well as several monohulls from a major brand like Bavaria of which we have become dealers for the entire Tyrrhenian Sea. As always, our effort is to make the charter experience a super positive trip even for the less sailing tourist, to make them fall in love with the boating vacation and repeat it in the future.
Important is to focus on the comfort of the boat to entice even non-sailors. The charter world will increase both as the number of users and for investors who increasingly believe in the formula of the boat under management. From this point of view, we are very satisfied with the success of our boat programs under management again this year.
Then again, our strength is that we do chartering, new and used boat sales, and boat management programs: by making synergy between all these aspects we are able to offer unique products to the market.”

– Assistance and services of all kinds
How are reservations going for the summer? “So far so good in both the new Marina Cala de’ Medici base and the historic Marina d’Arechi base. Sicily, on the other hand, can still grow but we are confident. Also because we propose a fairly new fleet of boats and we give high-level charter services thanks to the fact that we are a very structured company. We expect a good return from foreigners as well and with many Italians booking at the last minute.”
What kind of assistance do you provide? “As I said, we have significant internal resources at our disposal that allow us to give all kinds of assistance and services to those who leave with us. Especially to those neophyte tourists who perhaps choose to spend a little more to charter a larger, more comfortable catamaran but don’t want to have any surprises. Today by proposing we go after a new market that likes comfortable tourism.”
Can we give an idea of the rates? “They are as always very articulate but to give an example, a Dufour 48 catamaran with 5 cabins has prices from 6,000 in low season to 15,000 in high. And again a Lagoon 450 catamaran with 4 cabins has prices from 6,000 in low and 11,500 in high.”
