PORTS DOSSIER 2017 – The coasts of the upper Adriatic, and further south to Croatia and beyond, offer still unspoiled vistas of rare beauty that sometimes remain unknown to the general public. St. Andrew’s Marina is an ideal launching base from which to keep the boat during the winter and from which to head out on summer cruises. The facility is located in the Marano Lagoon and has a total area of over 200,000 square meters.
The port
The Marano Lagoon offers low-salinity water and excellent protection from capsizes, to which should be added the geometry of the Marina, which with a rather narrow and protected mouth provides more than safe shelter for boats moored inside. Boats up to 30 meters can access it, the maximum draft of berths is 4 meters, 7 that in the entrance channel to the lagoon.
Services
All docks are equipped with light, water, TV outlet, WI FI and 24-hour manned and video surveillance. The marina offers its customers: multilingual reception service, courtesy car service, toilets and showers reserved for guests, dock service staff to assist with maneuvering, garbage collection and disposal at the dock, laundry service, cab service, wifi service, electric bikes and charging station, and electric cars with reduced environmental impact thanks to photovoltaic panels. In addition to this, the facility has relaxation areas, a swimming pool for guests, and large green areas with walkable surfaces for recreation. Present are numerous businesses specializing in boating and non-boating, as well as restaurants, bars, and tourist facilities on and around the harbor.
Where it is located
Located in the Marano Lagoon, between the beautiful seaside resorts of Grado and Lignano Sabbiadoro, the property is easily accessible from the Trieste-Venice highway and Trieste airport. A 5-mile boat ride takes you to Grado, in 40 to Rovinj, in 4 to Lignano and in 40 to Venice, many other locations can be reached by land with a few miles of driving. Friuli Venezia Giulia then offers numerous extra-nautical diversions, including wine and food tours and culture.
