EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT SAIL CUP – MARIPERMAN TROPHY
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE.
Allcabined and open boats and multihulls without age limitationą, without using the tonnage certificate (IRC/ORC/CIM) to
from 3 meters and up with division by length overall, into two categories, “cruising class” (white sails, excluding Code 0) and “racing class” (Code 0, spi, gennaker, etc.).

Groupings and classes “cruising” and “racing”
Boats are divided by the Organizing Committee into homogeneous groups by overall length LFT. The LFT (Length Overall) stated in the sailing license or other documentation evidencing this for vessels will be used to determine groups or grouping.
Owners at the time of registration declare whether their boat will compete:
– In the “cruising class” (white sails i.e., mainsail and jib/genoa only. Bow sails not inferred on the forestay are prohibited. By way of example: sails known as drifters, Code Zero, gennaker and spinnaker breakers are prohibited.”)
– In the “regatta class” (Code 0, spi, gennaker, etc.).
Planned groupings:
– up to 7.50 m – 7.51 to 9.50 m – 9.51 to 11 m – 11.01 to 13 m – 13.01 to 15 m – 15.01 to 19 m – over 19 m
At least 3 boats are required to form a grouping; if this is not possible, the relevant boats will be merged with the next higher grouping. In the sailing competition on Sunday, May 7, the participating boats will be grouped into classes by homogeneous sailing performance as measured by the data provided during registration. PATH. The VELA Cup course is a beautiful sail in the Gulf, passing between Lerici, Tino Island and Portovenere with the finish line right in front of Le Grazie.
AWARDS FOR ALMOST EVERYONE. There are prizes for almost everyone. In fact, prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers in each class and category, as well as many special prizes.
