Magic Sailing Charter, fleet grows and doubles in size
“This is a very important year for us,” says Daniele Scimè, a young Sicilian entrepreneur and CEO of Magic Sailing Charter: in fact, the fleet is growing and doubling. We have the whole Lagoon range, from 52 to 40, as well as a Bali 4.5 that is very popular with families. And this year’s flagship: a Fountaine Pajot My40 power catamaran.
As always, in fact, we believe that the coziness of a catamaran combined with the speed of a motor boat can be the perfect match for those who want to visit more distant places with reduced sailing time without sacrificing luxury.”
How are reservations for the summer going so far? “Bookings are pressing, people are looking forward to their vacations. Since the pandemic situation has become less ‘tense,’ Italy is coveted by all European tourists and not only that, the American market is also returning. What’s more, the charter boom of the past few years has also attracted newcomers to boating who are increasingly getting into this tourism.
Just from them for example, the most popular itinerary, departing from the port of Capo d’Orlando, is the Aeolian Islands, the seven wonders of Sicily. A perfect destination for a relaxing vacation, kissed by the sun and lulled by the waves of the sea. However, there is no shortage of other routes for those who wish to travel with us, and to repeaters we offer tours of Sicily, the Amalfi Coast and Sardinia. But I want to emphasize that Magic Sailing Charter was created to first and foremost enhance my Sicily, create jobs and give hope to other young people like me to pursue their dreams.”

– Assistance before, during and after the cruise
What kind of assistance do you provide before, during and after the vacation? “Our team’s assistance begins even before booking. The customer, based on his or her needs and experience, is “guided” toward a correct choice of boat. We take care of the rest. Through collaboration with various partners, we can arrange the client’s travel to the port of embarkation or pre/post vacation around Sicily. If requested, we can also have the galley found on board.
Once set sail, the client will have an emergency contact available h24 to use in case of an emergency, as well as a service contact to be guided in choosing the route, ports, and bays. Assistance, if requested, is total from us.
As for the rates on the other hand, as always, they are really varied and depend on the experience the client wants to have: luxury, relaxation or adventure. The number of people determines the size of the boat; in addition, the period chosen also greatly influences. But the boat vacation today thanks to us is a vacation that is truly affordable for all tourists.”
