The
Milan Yachting Week – the digital boat show
opens its doors and we start sailing it with you. Today we take you on a discovery dn the pavilion of Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli Team. A multimedia and interactive space where you can find everything, but really everything, you need to know about the Italian challenge to the America’s Cup, the world’s oldest sports competition.
WHY IT’S A MUST-SEE
We tell you a story more than 20 years long, full of multimedia content, interviews with key men (such as Prada’s ad Patrizio Bertelli and skipper Max Sirena), virtual tours of the last flying boat and discovering the secrets of the Cagliari base. But not only that: now that Luna Rossa has left for Auckland (as we told you HERE), the pavilion becomes a space in which to experience, together with the team, the New Zealand adventure to (hopefully) conquer the America’s Cup. Periodically, the pavilion will be populated with exclusive interviews with the team’s key figures (an example? We reveal it HERE), updates, news.
Sports journalist Mino Taveri also dropped by the newsroom to visit us, and we had fun exploring the pavilion with him:
THE SECTIONS.
The pavilion is divided into a few macro-sections. Challenge, i.e., everything you need to know about the America’s Cup: its history, why it is so coveted, Luna Rossa’s history at the Cup from 1997 to the present, our exclusive interview with Prada patron and CEO Patrizio Bertelli, the regulations of the AC 75, the new foil-equipped flying boats; discovering the secrets of Luna Rossa, the most “interactive” part of the pavilion, with the three-dimensional rendering of the explorable boat, the virtual tour to the Cagliari base, and the full team to meet; Challengers for Now, Luna Rossa’s video webseries, a show not to be missed; focus & curiosity, where we have rounded up many “tidbits” for you: from how foils, the appendages that make Cup boats fly, work to how the crews of these futuristic boats dress. Do you misunderstand some overly technical terms? Don’t worry, there is a glossary at your disposal!
A section with the best Luna Rossa videos and photos closes.
WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? DISCOVER NOW.
THE RED MOON PAVILION PRADA PIRELLI TEAM!
Starting tomorrow, we will start to explore the exhibitors, just like bloodhounds: we will hunt for the latest products, curiosities, the most beautiful boats, accessories and services of Milan Yachting Week! Stay tuned!
