Many people have reported to us that Luna Rossa has resumed training in Cagliari. Let us preface this by saying that Luna Rossa sailors fall within that sphere of “high-level athletes” identified by the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI) and included in the exceptions of some of the Prime Minister’s decrees among the categories that could, or may, resume training. Further clarifying this was Max Sirena himself during the live streaming of the first interzonal e-sailing trophy explaining that: “for the past ten days or so we have had permission to return to the water, obviously in a reduced form“, specifying that these were not real trainings but tests for board and sail solutions.

Fewer crew members on board, only five instead of the usual 11-12 to ensure spacing, with grinders replaced by electric motors to ensure maneuvering and adjustments.

Meanwhile, Luna Rossa has made available to all fans the virtual tour of the Cagliari base located at the Ichnusa Pier. A virtual tour organized into 8 “scenes,” namely exterior, hospitality, gymnasium, dressing room, base entrance, technical area, boat shed, and sailmaker. You can see it at this LINK.
