It isthe 46-meter Unfurled that is the overall winner among sailboats and among boats over 40 meters in the 2016 World Superyacht Awards, put up by Boat International Media. The hull was launched by Vitters Shipyard, designed by German Frers with interiors by Oliver Stirling. The choice of the jury of 23 superyacht owners fell on Frers’ jewel, with retractable propellers, carbon mast, special stowage spaces at the bow for gennaker and spinnaker. A true “world cruiser” capable of screaming performance in racing as well (it won the 2016 Saint Barths Bucket Regatta). Do you agree with the jury’s choice? Look at these pictures:

THE OTHER WINNERS
Other winners include among the 30- to 39.99-meter boats the 38.8-meter Atalante, designed by Andre Hoek’s studio and built by the Dutch Claasen shipyards. Special mention for design and performance for the 35-meter Baltic Nikata, whose interior design was by Nauta. Instead, the design mention for hulls over 40 meters went to Topaz, also signed by Hoek on the J-Class class rule.
