So if the boat makes water, don’t panic: here’s what you need to do (the bags can be inflated below deck or on deck with a strap system).
The “basic” BRS system, for an eight-meter boat, contains: the patented BRS filling nozzle, a CO2 fire extinguisher (2 kg) and four flotation bags in addition to the attachment straps. The package weighs 13kg and the dimensions of the cardboard transport box are 54x32x27cm. The volume of one bag is 850 l, the total volume of the package is 3400 l.
The capacity of one fire extinguisher is enough to inflate six flotation bags. The weight of the compressed liquid of one package (four bags) is 3400 kg. With two additional bags, the weight is 5100 kg. The average time to fill a bag is 30 seconds, totaling about three minutes if it is necessary to inflate all the bags.
