Italy in the America’s Cup is now gone. False! The Italians involved in the next edition of the America’s Cup are many more than we can imagine. Of course, there are actually only two on the sailing teams – Francesco Bruni and Gilberto Nobili while Max Sirena has a non-operational role on board – but there are many others with less conspicuous, but still crucial, tasks on different teams.
In fact, there are as many as sixteen professionals, engaged in various roles, and as many as ten companies that will provide technology and equipment to the America’s Cup teams.
