Ronstan ‘s “soft attachment” Soft Attachment Blocks achieve the highest dynamic load ratings relative to sheave diameter in the range of blocks the company has designed for offshore and keelboats.
Each Soft Attachment block has fully machined anodized aluminum cheeks. The pulleys run on duplex stainless steel hubs and incorporate precision composite journal bearings. The textile loop is made of Dyneema SK99.
The range of blocks is ideal for fixed or removable rigging: the 2:1 mainsail halyard hoist, mainsail and spinnaker sheets, backstay hoists, etc… They are available in three sizes: 42, 60, 75 mm diameter with working loads of 2, 4 and 7 tons respectively.
