Period of great turmoil in Hallberg Rassy. Indeed, the shipyard has just presented at Boot Dusseldorf the new Hallberg Rassy 40c (we told you about it HERE) but at the same time announced a new boat, a new 50-footer.
The all-new Hallberg-Rassy 50 follows the great success with the 57, 44, 40C and 340. The 50 is designed to sail with great comfort and significant volumes inside. The Hallberg-Rassy 50 pushes the boundaries of what is possible up to 50 feet while staying true to the classic Hallberg-Rassy fundamentals. The new 50 has a waterline that is 50 cm longer than the Hallberg-Rassy 55. A longer waterline offers better sailing performance while providing more interior volume, comfort, and stowage below deck. Even maximum width is 33 cm larger at the widest point than 55.
The hull shape conceived by German Frers is modern and will offer sailing performance worthy of the shipyard’s name. The front of the hull underwater is rounded, almost like an egg, and this means smooth movement at any angle of heel.
TECHNICAL DATA SHEET.
Hull length 15.23 m
Waterline length 14.80 m
Width 5 m
Displacement 21,000 kg
Sail area upwind 151 sqm
