The brainchild of “nerdy” sailor Paolo Rasi, Eversail products combine the worlds of fashion, sailing and computing. Duffel bags, watertight bags, glove boxes, accessories designed to the millimeter for boaters.
The product we got to test is the top of the range (which includes bags, waterproof pouches, fanny packs, breathable dirty laundry containers, and trackers): the Voyager waterproof duffel bag. We liked it because it has as many as 20 pockets and openings (the ones dedicated to smartphones, tablets, and PCs on the inside of the opening are interesting) and it can be carried three ways: over the shoulder, with handles, and as a backpack. On the short outer side of the bag opens a lined watertight pocket protected by a breathable net, in which you can store boat gloves, swimsuits, wet spray tops.
You can customize the duffle bag by choosing color, outer material, type of sail (because, following an “eco” philosophy of reuse, recycled sails are used extensively in the making of Voyager), and size: a real “treat” is the Eversail Tracker, the small device at the heart of anti-theft, location and automatic route tracking systems.
If your bag is moved from the area you yourself have virtually established, you will be alerted with an alarm on your smartphone.
Eversail Voyager is available at a discounted price of 279 euros for the first 100 pieces during the kickstarter campaign, saving 30 percent from the retail price of 399 euros.
