The magic of the ice, the colors of the sea within a Polynesian lagoon, the desert in Mexico, the jungle of Angra dos Reis that gives way by the sea to incredible beaches. After returning from their trip to Alaska, where they sailed throughout the summer of 2015, Andrea and Chicca Pestarini purchased and transferred from Greece Durlindana, a 70-foot ketch built by Cantieri di Fano and designed by Schomachen. Their new project involves sailings in the Great North and the Great South via tropical paradises such as Polynesia or Brazil. And, hear hear, you can go with them. Durlindana can accommodate 6 people in three double cabins with bathrooms.

WHO ARE ANDREA AND CHICCA PESTARINI
Andrea Pestarini, author “Mai Stracc a journey that may never end…” and “The Atlantic Crossing. Preparations and Techniques of an Ocean Navigator” (Ed. Il Frangente), he made 15 Atlantic crossings and then went on to discover the Pacific, first going as far south as 40 South, in the middle of the austral autumn, and then 62 North, sailing up from Thailand to Japan arriving as far as Alaska, where with the Mai Stracc he met icebergs.

The boat is his life choice, in a perpetual search for something different and true, accompanied by Chicca, his wife, who has been with him since 2000. In January 2011, she realized her greatest dream with her: sailing to Antarctica, a journey that turned out to be both fascinating and challenging, “…an incredible experience, difficult to recount and understand…” From 2012 to the present, Andrea and Chicca have returned to New Zealand, Polynesia, Alaska via Hawaii and the W coast of the United States.
