THE RETURN OF VDO MARINE
In recent years VDO Marine, the historic brand now developed, manufactured and distributed by Swiss veratron, has made a comeback. Among the many instruments developed by the company (with an analog or digital look) the latest, in order of time, are those in the OceanLink range. Range that includes all high-precision instruments useful for sailing.
A “PARTERRE DE ROI” OF INSTRUMENTS
The wind station, the instrument that measures GPS speed, the one that indicates real and apparent wind speed, the one that shows wind direction. Featuring NMEA2000 wiring and terminals and an ultralight compass sensor, it will enable you to keep an eye on every piece of boat data.
Among other interesting products, we particularly liked the AcquaLink 7-inch 24-bit / 16-million-color multifunction TFT AcquaLink displays with a mineral glass screen that use transmissive layer technology to ensure excellent readability in direct sunlight. The displays are fully customizable. You will be able to decide to your liking what data should be displayed, how it should be colored, and which should be displayed larger.
These advanced multipurpose ones can also function as single mast-foot repeaters. Their aluminum case (with antigalvanic treatment, specifically for marine use) prevents them from overheating. In fact, few people know that LED screens decrease their performance if they get too hot. www.veratron.com
