Yes, he fell for it too, at 87 years old. Canadian archistar Frank Gehry, has made himself the sailing superboat, “Foggy.” A big sloop with a clean, “bad” look on the outside, but full of Gehry-style deconstructivist solutions (To get an idea of its “figure,” go see the Guggenheim in Bilbao, the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, or the “Ginger & Fred” in Prague.)

COULD NOT MISS FRERS
An avid sailor, he had never tried his hand at designing a sailboat, content to sail on his First 44.7: “I was too busy building houses.” It is decided in 2008, involving Richard Cohen and then another great, German Frers, to which he said, “The boat will have to sail, don’t let my madness take over“. The result is an elegant, larch-wood, titanium-reinforced boat with fish-shaped side windows and a deckhouse characterized by a typically deconstructivist weave. The windlass also has the beehive structure typical of Gehry’s works. The interior is quirky, with sofas covered with New Zealand sheepskins in the square and psychedelic carpets. At the launch, Gehry and Frers looked at each other and congratulated each other. What do you think?
